The future “Barrett Township Administrative and Recreation Complex” will house our administrative offices, a large multi-use room for meetings, activities, and programs for all ages as well as an 80’ x 100’ gymnasium/auditorium for sports, shows, cultural events etc.
The complex will also offer multiple human services such as our food panty and Community Shed, which offers donated household items and furniture to those in need. The plan also includes an Emergency Shelter, which Barrett Township has not had since the elementary school closed 10 years ago. A commercial kitchen will also be outfitted to support the emergency shelter as well as the activities and events within the facility.
With over 60,000 sq. ft., this complex will provide rental space availability and plans for future growth include a fully equipped fitness center.
This complex not only offers a better quality of life to Township residents, but also the opportunity to increase tourism through various events and activities.
