SCRANTON, Pa. — Tickets for Steamtown National Historic Site’s upcoming schedule of autumn excursions are now available for purchase online. Selected days in September and October will see diesel-powered, full-day trips depart from the National Park to Gouldsboro, Carbondale, Tobyhanna, or Cresco.

The Brodhead Watershed Association is partnering with the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center to invite both school-age children and adults to join us for a splashing good time snorkeling on the Upper Brodhead Creek in Barrett Township on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
With guidance from an experienced outdoor educator, creek-goers will have the opportunity to encounter a totally new and different world – witnessing what life is like under the water.
TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Supervisors of Bar-rett Township will hold a special meeting on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 8:00 A.M. at the Barrett Township municipal building, 993 Route 390, Cresco, Pennsylvania 18326 with respect to a proposed ordinance. At the time of the public special meeting, the Supervisors will listen to comments by mem-bers of the public concerning the proposed ordinance. If substantial amendments are not offered to the draft of the proposed ordinance, the Su-pervisors intend to consider enactment of the proposed ordinance at the special meeting.
