Public town hall scheduled for Sept 5 to discuss local traffic fatalities in Paradise Twp

State and local officials to co-host

Sept. 1, 2023

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Press contact: Art Segraves, president, Paradise Falls Lutheran Association, 215-435-4140

Paradise Township— A public meeting will be held at the Paradise Falls Lutheran Association (PFLA) Social Hall, 146 Primrose Road, Paradise Twp., Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 6-8 p.m. to discuss traffic concerns along Route 191.

The town hall is co-hosted by PFLA and State Senator Rosemary Brown; State Representative Maureen Madden will be in attendance, as will officials from PennDOT, the PA State Police, and Paradise Falls Lutheran Association.

Traffic issues, especially speeding and reckless driving, have long been a concern to this community and to the residents and businesses along the corridor of Rte. 191 between Henryville and Mt. Pocono.

Tragically, a young member of Paradise Falls was hit and killed by a vehicle in July, prompting the association to reach out again (another member was killed by a vehicle in this corridor in 2021) for help in exploring possible solutions to slow traffic and decrease incidents of dangerous driving.

All members of the public are welcome to attend.

For those who are unable to physically attend the meeting, but wish to participate, the meeting will be shared via zoom at the address below.;
