Weiler Abrasives to expand operations into Mexico

CRESCO, MONROE CO, (WOLF) — Weiler Abrasives, headquartered in Cresco, Pennsylvania, announced the expansion of its manufacturing operations into Juarez, Mexico with a new, 40,000-square-foot facility, scheduled to open in December 2022.

No Cresco-based Weiler jobs will be eliminated or transferred as a result of this multi-million-dollar investment.

Production of Weiler’s power brushes, the company’s most well-known product category will remain the primary focus at the Cresco location, while the new Mexico plant will manufacture other Weiler products.

“Simply put, the Pocono Mountains region is still Weiler’s home, as it has been since 1957,” said Chris Weiler, CEO of Weiler Abrasives. “The plant here is of great value to Weiler, both its people and its product. Expanding our operations to Mexico will make Weiler a stronger, more successful organization overall, thereby improving the professional futures of all our employees.”
