Monroe County regarding an unknown black male at this home, saying that •gang• members are trying to kill him. While on the phone with PSP Desk personnel, the unknown male, later identified as KWESI SKERRITT of Bronx, NY walked from the front door. to the rear of the residence, smashed a kitchen window, climbed through, and entered the residence. The VICTIM, hearing the loud noise, ran into the kitchen where he encountered SKERRITT.
The VICTIM, a Vietnam Veteran, drew his legally owned pistol on SKERRITT and ordered him to the ground. SKERRITT remained on the floor of the kitchen until Trooper William JENKINS arrived on scene and placed him in custody. SKERRITT provided confusing statements related to his travels, or why he was at the residence, which was located in a very secluded area on top of a hill, appearing to be under the influence of some type of controlled substance.
Trooper Justin M. LERI - Criminal Investigation Unit and Trooper William JENKINS- Patrol Unit completed criminal charges on SKERITT. He was arraigned by District Magistrate ANZINI and remanded to the Monroe County Correctional Facility on $100,000 bail.
