Happy Father’s Day, With Love, kindness, and remembrance to John W. Leonard, Sr.

For all of you who can be with their Father this Father’s day, tell him how important he is in your life and never forget to tell him you love him every time you part…hopefully it is not your last. Our father survived 2 years in a WWII German prison camp and fathered the five of us after returning home after the war.

We last saw our Father leave for work on September 8, 1970 for a taxi call while we played in the back yard. Our Dad never came home. We miss him dearly. Who took his life has never been found. As we aged, from 13 years old to our now golden age of 67, our hearts break for every birthday, holiday, and family event that he is not there to share with us. He was loved by all who knew him, even the kittens he would rescue and find loving homes for. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it and everyone knew it, he was that well liked.

We ask that on this Father’s day, you all pray for all the Fathers that are missed and also love the ones still with us and let them know that they matter and are loved dearly…everyone needs to know this. We know there are people out there who know what happened to our Dad. Please come forward and share with us to give us the answers we now need.

Thank you for listening and hope everyone has a wonderful and Happy Father’s Day 2024!
