Christian Awareness Ministries Ecumenical: Route 447 and High Acres Park, Canadensis. Hours: 8:30 a.m. to noon Mondays for food distribution. Office hours are from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday and Friday. CAME serves residents of Barrett, Price and the northern and eastern ends of Paradise townships. Federal income guidelines apply. Daughters of Thunder Outreach Ministry Soup Kitchen: Offers a soup kitchen at the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, take-out meals will be handed out to anyone in need from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sundays at the Ann Street entrance of the church, Stroudsburg. Effort United Methodist Church Supplemental Food Resource Center: Merwinsburg Road, Effort. The Supplemental Food Resource Center is a temporary emergency needs food pantry for West End residents. Pantry is open from 10 to 11 a.m. on the second Saturday and 10 a.m. to noon on the fourth Saturdays of the month. Information: 570-629-1890, effortumc.org.

Eglise Evangelique De La Renaissance Church: 129 Lower Swiftwater Road, Swiftwater. Provides a food pantry for Monroe County residents. The Swiftwater Food Pantry will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. To minimize person-to-person contact, the pantry will use drive-up service only. Feeding Families Ministry Inc.: The Mountain Center, 354 Route 611, Room 1, Tobyhanna. Open from 1 to 3 Thursdays and Fridays. Drive thru only. Must be Pennsylvania resident. Must bring photo identification and current household bill (electric, cable) which matches address on photo identification. Information: 570-977-3702.

Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network Food: 2334 Route 209, Sciota (just east of the Chestnuthill Diner). Serves the residents of Chestnuthill, Eldred, Hamilton, Jackson, Polk and Ross townships. Pocono Mountain Ecumenical Hunger Ministry: Coolbaugh Municipal Building basement, Memorial Boulevard, Tobyhanna. Pantry hours are 9 a.m. to noon on the first Wednesday of the month and first Saturday of the month. Serves Pocono and Coolbaugh townships, borough of Mount Pocono and parts of Paradise and Tobyhanna townships. Income guidelines apply. Identification and proof of residence required. Salvation Army: 226 Washington St., East Stroudsburg. Call for appointments. Monthly food distribution with prior registration, emergency food assistance available. Held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month, must be registered two weeks prior to distribution to be included. Served residents of Smithfield and Stroud townships as well as the boroughs of East Stroudsburg, Stroudsburg, Delaware Water Gap and parts of Pocono Township. Information: Jill Brink, 570-421-3050.

Stroudsburg United Methodist Church — Soup Kitchen: 547 Main St., Stroudsburg. Soup kitchen open 4 to 4:30 p.m. every Sunday and 5 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday. Information: 570-421-6020, stroudsburgumc.com.

Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church Food Pantry: 915 N. Fifth St., Stroudsburg. Provides those in need with a meal and supplemental food items to take home. Newfoundland Community Food Pantry: Dreher Township Building, 899 Main St., Newfoundland. Hours: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. second Friday. Serves Southern Wayne County (Salem, Sterling, Lehigh and Dreher townships). Information: 570-689-0574.

Free Food Database: Free food is being given away every week to anyone in need. The database covers every ZIP code in every state. Those in need of free food only have to type in a ZIP code and they will get a list of all the places of worship, community organizations, private organizations, etc., that are giving away free food every week.
