Anthony Valera is wanted by the Monroe County Office of the District Attorney for Contractor Fraud and numerous Theft offenses, in violation of the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act and the Pennsylvania Crimes Code. Most of the criminal offenses Valera is charged with are Felonies of the Second or Third degree.
The criminal allegations basically are that Anthony Valera has been taking money from customers for various work projects, doing only a small amount of work or no work at all, and then not finishing the job. In some cases VALERA insisted on being paid weekly or bi-weekly in his contract then, when the victims pay for almost the entire amount of money specified in the contract VALERA would then abandon the project and stop communicating with the victims. In other cases, VALERA has taken the first or first two installments of payments for projects and then either not done any of the work or abandoned the project without completing it.
It is currently suspected that Anthony Valera has stolen approximately $154,400.00 from five (5) different customers/families who signed contracts with him for construction/home improvement projects.
