Mary Ann Krolikowski, R.N., 81, of Cresco passed away at home on Friday, January 10, 2025 after an illness.
Born on February 2, 1943, and raised in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Mikiewicz) Lefchak. Mary Ann graduated from Old Forge High School in the class of 1960 and pursued her education at Wilkes College and College Misericordia and earned her registered nurses license from Nesbitt Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Kingston, where she was recognized with third academic honors in her class.
Mary Ann began her nursing career after moving to Saltaire Fire Island, NY, and later relocated to the Poconos, where she worked at Pocono Hospital for many years. She transitioned to school nursing, serving primarily at Barrett Elementary Center and Monsignor McHugh School. While raising her daughters, Mary Ann achieved a significant milestone by earning her Master’s degree in 1988 from College Misericordia.
Mary Ann had a zest for life that took her all over the world with her friends and daughters. She cherished time spent with her Birthday Club friends and enjoyed walking, yoga, and the beach.
Mary Ann will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, William Bill Krolikowski; her children, Robin Krolikowski of Malden, MA, Jen Krolikowski of Kinnelon, NJ, Jill Triano of Moscow, PA and her nieces and nephews. She was an amazing wife, incredible mother and adoring grandmother to Aidan and Reece, and will be undoubtedly missed forever.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Peggy Davis and an infant brother, John.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Church in Cresco, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Anns name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
