DA: Baby Beaten To Death In Poconos Apartment, 3 Charged Also Had Heroin

The death of a 2-month-old baby in a Poconos, PA apartment has been ruled a homicide, authorities said.

The infant girl, Ryann Bacchus, was found with trauma to her head resulting in multiple skull fractures in a Barrett Township apartment on March 19, the Monroe County District Attorney's Office said.

County Coroner Thomas Yanac Jr. ruled the baby's death a homicide.

As of last Friday, three people were charged with child endangerment in relation to the child’s death, while homicide charges had not yet been filed, officials said.

Pocono Mountain Regional police officers responded to the Route 447 apartment where they found the baby's mom, Amanda Green, along with Tony Kristiansen -- who reportedly lives at the apartment -- and called 9-1-1 after finding the unresponsive baby, police said in a release.

Lamont Bacchus, Ryann's dad, assaulted Green earlier that day or late the night before, and was found in possession of three heroin bags when authorities found him, police said.

Bacchus had left the alleged crime scene before Green and Kristiansen found the infant dead, police said.

Kristiansen, however, not only delivered 10 bags of heroin to Green and Bacchus, but cleaned up the scene removing the drugs before calling 9-1-1, police said.

“Investigation revealed that there was at least an hour and a half delay in calling for any medical assistance," the DA said in a statement.

Kristiansen’s 8-year-old daughter had been removed from the home before he called 9-1-1, authorities said.
