Public Notice - Notice to Bidders: HVAC upgrades at the Barrett Township Administrative and Recreation Complex

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Bids will be publicly opened and read by the Barrett Township Board of Supervisors on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 8 a.m., at the Barrett Township Municipal Building, 993 Route 390, Cresco, PA 18326, for HVAC upgrades at the Barrett Township Administrative and Recreation Complex located at 1192-1200 Route 390, Cresco, PA 18326.

Bidders shall supply all labor, materials, and equipment as required by, and as described more fully, in the detailed specifications that are available by contacting Pam at (570) 595-2602, ext. 3, between 8 a.m. at 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 14, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at the project site at 1192-1200 Route 390 in Cresco.

All bids shall be received by the Township Secretary by 4:00 PM, Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Untimely bids will not be considered. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and plainly marked Barrett Township HVAC Upgrade Project Bidders may supplement attachments, as each bidder deems necessary, further detailing their bid proposal.

Each bid must be accompanied by proposal security in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid. Security shall be in the form of a certified check, bank cashier s check, or satisfactory bid bond naming as payee Barrett Township. No bids or proposals may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date above specified for receiving, opening, and reading of bids, or contrary to Act 4 of 1974 regarding the withdrawal of bids. Bonding companies for Bid, Performance and Payment Bonds must be listed in the U. S. Treasury Circular No. 570. If the bid is accepted, the successful bidder must execute a Contract in the form satisfactory to the Township, and shall furnish and pay for Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price within ten (10) business days after receipt of the Notice of Award from Township along with the required Certificates of Insurance satisfactory to Township. This project shall comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.

The Barrett Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, and to waive any defects, irregularities or portions thereof, as deemed to be in the best interest of the Township.
