Monday - Thursday   10:00 AM to 8:00 PMFriday and Saturday   10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Barrett Paradise Friendly Library is located at the intersection of Route 390 and Sand Spring Drive in Cresco. Our Mission: To strengthen our community, the library connects people with ideas, experiences and each other, and inspires them to dream and succeed as lifelong learners.
General Meetings on the third Friday of each month are at 7:00PM. The Barrett Township Historical Society would like to announce that they now have available for sale their annual Calendar.  The price of the calendars is $6.00.  They can be purchased at Theo. B. Price Country Store ~ Route 390 in Cresco or the Barrett Paradise Friendly Library ~ also located on Route 390 in Cresco.
The Barrett Township Maintenance Department is staffed by five full-time employees and five part-time employees.  The members of the Maintenance Department routinely tend to the Township's maintenance needs, whether it be changing the oil in a police car, plowing a snow-covered road, or fixing a pothole. Pocono Area Recreation Commission
Please note: As of July 16, 2015, the Barrett Township Police Department has merged with Pocono Mountain Regional Police.
If you are interested in volunteering, please stop by or call 570-595-7777.  If you'd like to stop by in person to apply, our meetings are Tuesdays at 7pm. 
Please do not leave clothes or food on the porch of the CAME building.  Food can be dropped off at your local post office.
The Cresco Station Museum houses displays, artifacts and research material indigenous to the Barrett Township area, sponsors art shows the second Sunday of each month from 1-4 pm, and holds musical programs the fourth Sunday (June to September) from 1-4 pm. Monroe County Magisterial District Court
In 2000, Barrett Township, Paradise Townships and Mount Pocono Borough began working together, along with the Monroe County Open Space Commission, to provide parks and recreation for area residents. In 2014, Mount Pocono withdrew from PARC. Through the Commission, Skywood Park, Seven Pines Park and Ice Lake provide recreation opportunities and natural experiences for area residents.
The Sheep Shed Project of Women’s Resources of Monroe County provides gently used furniture to families in transition. The Sheep Shed serves victims of domestic and sexual violence by filling their new homes with furniture and creating a comfortable healing space for families in need. The Sheep Shed is currently accepting donations of gently used furniture.
